A detailed approach to property photography

Whilst browsing these pages you may have noticed that not all of the property photos take the form of the usual wide angle room shots. These standard shots are of course essential to give an overview of any property, but additionally I will take a number of close up photos as well. It’s these more intimate detail or ‘lifestyle’ shots that can add a bit of warmth and personality to a portfolio of images and really bring alive the true character of your property.

Both exterior and interior photos can work well, and the grandeur of either setting is irrelevant. It doesn’t matter whether you have several acres of meticulously landscaped gardens, or just a little sunny corner of a yard you love to sit in with your morning coffee - the wider picture has already been taken care of.

Sometimes these images involve props (I will bring these on a shoot) and a little bit of extra effort in terms of styling, and sometimes they’re just reactionary shots I see as I go.

Whether you have a home for sale or you’re selling a holiday, it’s all about holding a viewer’s hand and guiding them towards a feature or a favourite little corner you really want them to notice.

And speaking of holding your hand and guiding you dear reader, we come to the sales pitch. If you’re interested in a property shoot then please get in touch!
