Happy new year folks!
Rather than keep the blog for the more extended, occasionally lyrical trip reports, I’m going to try and keep it up to date with everyday wanderings too, for those those that don’t follow on FB or Twitter.
It’s been a rather frustrating festive period for hillwalking, frequent storm force winds and very little snow (in the Lake District anyway, it’s accumulating nicely on Scottish hills).
Today I was out shooting a walk for a certain outdoor magazine, around Barf, Lord’s Seat, Broom Fell and Spout Force. All a little bleaker than required for the job unfortunately, but there are more lethargic ways to spend a Sunday morning.
Here’s another of those ‘impressive cairns on minor hills’ atop Broom Fell.
