Most of the images on the site are available to purchase as wrapped canvas block prints ready to hang on your wall, as fine art giclee prints, or standard prints on high quality satin photographic paper.
Giclee Printing
Giclée is a high quality printing process that produces long lasting stunning reproductions with unparalleled vibrancy and detail that can’t be touched by traditional ‘commercial’ printing techniques.
The prints are supplied on 300gsm fine photorag art paper using specially pigmented inks and each one is hand proofed before dispatch to ensure optimal quality.
Provided they are looked after, giclee prints will easily last a lifetime.
Standard Prints
Standard prints are supplied on high quality satin photographic paper, and although less expensive than the giclee prints still provide stunning image quality.
Canvas Prints
Canvas prints are wrapped around 40mm deep kiln-dried, knot-free finger jointed timber and are printed using fade resistant pigment based inks. A protective invisible matt varnish is then applied to finish all canvases.
Limited Edition
We want you to feel like you are buying something special and unique and not just another generic mass produced Lake District print – therefore each image is a limited edition of 50 across all print sizes and formats.
All are individually numbered and signed, and once they’re gone they’re gone!
The exception to this is the A5 open edition prints, produced for those on a tighter budget. These are still printed on the same high quality paper, hand signed and framed in a simple black frame, but aren’t limited edition.
Framing
All Lake District prints are framed at Gatefoot Gallery in Staveley near Windermere, where you can also view a collection of my framed Lake District photos.
To make the ordering process easier, you will be given a choice of oak (for a lighter frame), walnut (for a darker frame) or plain black. However the gallery has extensive catalogues of frames, so if you have any specific requirements please either state when placing your order or feel free to contact me.
Buying Prints
Just click on a photograph in the image galleries to be taken through the checkout process. Although Paypal process the payment, YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO ORDER!! Simply enter your card details when prompted.
If no price is displayed when you click on a photo this means that prints of that particular image aren’t yet available. If however you do fall in love with a particular unpriced photograph please contact us for a quote and we’ll do what we can.
Shipping
All unframed prints are shipped rolled in a cardboard tube.
Framed prints are carefully packaged in bubble wrap, and then in heavy duty cardboard picture packs. We’ve not had a single report of anything arriving at its destination with any damage so far, but of course will happily replace any breakages free of charge, as long as the print itself is returned (assuming this is undamaged).
Shipping Overseas
Shipping to non UK destinations can be arranged, please contact us for a shipping quote before placing your order.
Turnaround Times
To ensure optimal quality of the finished product, all prints are hand printed and framed to order, so if you’re in a rush please contact us before ordering.
Expect prints to take at least a week, and framed prints to take at least 2 weeks. However if you do have an urgent deadline please contact us and we’ll see what we can arrange with our printing and framing partners.
Special Requests
If you would prefer a slightly different crop, a black and white version of a colour photo, a different print size or any other option that isn’t offered, then please feel free to contact us and we’ll see what we can do.
Quotes for bespoke print sizes, whether larger or smaller are also available on request.
Please note print sizes (particularly panoramics) are approximate. If you need an exact size, then please contact us before placing your order.
If you are unsatisfied with a print for any reason we will of course offer a full refund.
Safe Online Shopping
Payments are processed by PayPal’s secure online servers for ease and convenience.
You do not have to have a Paypal account to shop with us, simply enter your card details when prompted.
However if you aren’t in a rush and would prefer not to shop online we can still accept a good old fashioned cheque. Either contact us or enclose your order details with the cheque.
