Blencathra from King’s How

I always stress the ideas of reactivity and flexibility on workshops, and here's a case in point. After giving up on my main shooting plan on King's How and assuming that excess cloud would mean the end of sunlight for the day, I was suddenly greeted with a glowing Blencathra on the descent.

Quickly working out a swift partial reascent over boulders to avoid a fenceline that cluttered the foreground, I managed to arrange the silver birch into a foreground line I was happy with.
