Despite this outing mainly being a recce of the ascent of Bla Bheinn with a walk up the next morning for sunrise in mind, I set off early enough to allow me the chance to capture a few shots on the way if the urge took me.
This is a well shot waterfall and despite spending quite some time here I wasn't sure it had worked out for me - I just couldn't seem to get a shot that felt balanced for me compositionally.
However since I've got this one home back on the screen I really like it. Nice early autumn colours overall, and a few stronger bursts and spidery fingers of silver from the small trees reaching towards the falls, and some movement in the wind whipped heather. And of course the ominous ramparts of Bla bheinn and Clach Glas in the background.
