Loch Coruisk from Sgurr na Stri

A view that has enraptured me since I first saw it.  One of the finest in the British Isles, though not overly visited or voted as such, as it doesn't lie within 10 yards of a car park.

The summit of Sgurr na Stri, from where this was shot, isn't a particularly lofty one at just shy of 500m, but perched on its unexpectedly airy summit with tremendous views all round you could be forgiven for thinking it was twice as high.

Given it's about a 7 mile walk in, my only option for a early or late shoot was to wild camp near the summit. And as wild camps go it's not a bad place to wake up 😉 June 2012
