First light on the Langdale Pikes on a lovely morning. Taken from The Band on Bowfell. This is pretty much the shot that got me doing what I do now.
Setting off up a mountain in the dark, not knowing what to expect.... creeping daylight.. a glimpse of fresh overnight snow... and then that wonderful burst of beautiful golden morning sunlight... it may only last 5 minutes but that buzz is still why I put all the endless hours of (sometimes futile) effort into it.
