Retrospective, Blea Tarn

Even if you've never been to the Lake District you've probably seen this view before. The Langdale Pikes reflected in Blea Tarn is a well worn view, lying as it does next to the roadside for lazy photographers.

If I didn't feel I was adding something a bit different I wouldn't post this image on the website and it would go straight to stock; but I feel it's a bit more dark and foreboding than most Blea Tarn shots you see and I quite like it.

This is actually an old shot from winter 2009, I'm sure I tried the monochrome treatment once before and it didn't work. Not sure what I did differently this time but now it does 🙂
