A perfect example of having the 'right' amount of cloud for a wild looking mountain image. All too often there'll either be too much, blocking out direct light and leading to flat looking images lacking depth, or there'll be none at all which isn't great for atmosphere or mood.
This is a new image but the component parts were shot in January 2009. The Langdale Pikes at their rugged best on a wild winter morning. January 2011.
