I’m a full time professional landscape and commercial photographer based in the Lake District National Park in Cumbria.
My current portfolio is based around the Lake District and Scotland, but that may expand in the future. Hills are my thing. I’ve been walking them since the age of three, and will continue to do so until my knees stop working. Admittedly, since taking up photography, the addition of camera and camping gear to the pack weight probably does increase the chances of that happening, but at least you get to share some of the wonderful scenes I witness.
I’m also available for tuition, running photography workshops in the Lake District and further afield in Scotland if requested. If you’re struggling to work your way around a camera, or have mastered the basics but need help with composition, lighting, or any other technical aspects, then please get in touch. I can help!
I also do commercial non – landscape photography things, like hotels, holiday cottages, events and PR shoots. Pretty much anything except weddings. You can hire wedding photographers for that kind of thing, they’re damn good at it.
If you’d like me to undertake any photography for you then please do get in touch for a quote. Recent clients include the Forestry Commission, Stagecoach, Cumbria Tourism, Keswick Tourism Association, Sally’s Cottages, The National Trust, Country Walking magazine, and the Great Outdoors magazine.
I regularly supply outdoor and photography magazines with material, have recently completed my first guidebook, and for those of you interested in such things I shoot with a full frame 36mp Nikon d810.
