Stony Cove Pike

I honestly, really, definitely, truly, definitely, honestly was planning to stay in the office and do my accounts and tax return today.

But a quick scan of the usual social media channels this morning told me there was an unexpected covering of lovely fresh powder above 500m, so I scooted out of the door without a second thought.

The cloud soon descended upon me again as I walked from the top of Kirkstone Pass towards Stony Cove Pike, but the wind was calm, and despite the lack of views the eerie hush made it a delight.
