Washing Up

I know every time I write something here it seems to be related to the last hit of winter…. but yes, yet again we’ve had another fresh covering on the hills this evening.

Whilst I was busy doing the washing up (life can’t all be hills), out of the window Carrock Fell began to shrug off its fug of cloud to show off the new snow, and my evening out was decided.

I had Low Fell in mind, but I usually like a little direct light on the land for fellscapes, and as I headed over Whinlatter that seemed unlikely. In the end I found myself on the shore of Buttermere, and this simple long exposure was the result.
