The Place, Loweswater

When you’ve been photographing Lake District houses and holiday lets for as long as I have, you occasionally find yourself going back to places you’ve been to before. Houses sell, and sell again, holiday cottages get renovated… and of course at that point you’ll need me to come back and refresh the photography!

And so recently, after apparently almost ten years, I found myself back at The Place and its enviable position high above Loweswater.

It’s a home from home for the owners and it shows - they continue to refine and improve The Place yet still retain the charming character of the property.
